Jean-Luc & Paul Aegerter, Burgundy - France
The Bourgogne Aligoté is a white wine with a white gold color and light green reflections. His fresh and franc aromas are recalling grape, apple and citrus. In the mouth, his vivacity and acidity are balanced by a discreet but sufficient flexibility.
The Bourgogne Aligoté is produced on the Hautes Côtes of Bourgundy. The vineyards are planted on a high calc density soil. Because of their situation on the coteaux where they are planted, they receive a slightly reduced amount of rain.
You can drink the Bourgogne Aligoté with any cooked ham, terrines (meat or fish) or steamed sander filet. Locally, he is drinken with some blackcurrent liquor, then is called Kir.
